The BEST Banana Bread


Some of us here might roll out eyes up to yet another banana bread. But you guys, trust me, after trying this one out, it will be your go to recipe every single time!

It is packed with healthy ingredients, no refined flour or sugar. What more could you ask for?


Ingredients


3 mashed bananas

2 eggs

1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 cup yogurt

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/3 cup whole wheat flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/3 cup melted butter

Chopped walnuts and chocolate chips (as many as you like!)


** to substitute eggs, add in one extra banana and 2 tbsp extra yogurt


Method


In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas, add the eggs in and give it a good mix

To this, add the honey, yogurt and vanilla extract and mix it again

Seive in the dry ingredients ie. the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt

Using a spatula, mix until just combined

Lastly, add the melted butter and walnuts and chocolate chips and mix it through, until you get a silky batter

Line a loaf tin with baking paper and pour in the batter

Slice a banana to plop on top for a bit of decoration and extra flavor

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 30 to 35 minutes
