Just Peachy!

So I went live over on my Instagram page last evening, but alas, midway I lost connectivity and could not reconnect to finish the live workshop.
But, I kept my chin up and finished baking this gorgeous cake, along with some baked peaches.
I am sharing the recipe below. Thank you to all of you who joined in!
Baked Peaches
These are so easy to make but show up as a really sophisticated dessert when served with a scoop of ice cream on the side.
This is great to prepare for parties, when you want to impress with very little work!

Ingredients
3 peach halves
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp very soft butter
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp rum/bourbon (optional)
Method
-Add all of the ingredients to a bowl (except for the peaches) and whisk them together real good until it's incorporated nicely
-Pour this mixture into the center of each peach and drizzle the remaining liquid around.
-Bake in a pre heated oven at 180C for 15 minutes
Peach Cake
Such a light and delicious tea time cake. I do love incorporating fruit in my cakes. It makes them feel less of an indulgence while having all the element of one!!

Ingredients
2 sliced peaches
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 tbsp butter (85 gms)
1 cup castor sugar
1 egg / 1/4 cup yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
Method
-Preheat the oven to 180 C
-Add the flour, baking powder and salt to a bowl and give it a mix
-In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. To this add in the egg (or yogurt), milk and vanilla extract and mix until incorporated nicely.
-You will have a lovely smooth batter
-Pour this batter into a prepared baking tin
-Place the peach slices on the top, quite closely together in a pretty pattern
-Bake at 180 C for around 35 to 40 minutes
