Jam thumbprint cookies


These are really sweet cookies to make with your kids or for your kids

Filled with strawberry jam that just about oozes when you take a bite, you will not be disappointed with them


Ingredients


115 gm butter

70 gm sugar

1 egg

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

200 gm flour

50 gm strawberry jam


Method


Whisk the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy

Add the egg and vanilla and whisk until it thickens

Add the flour and mix until you have a gorgeous soft dough

Chill for an hour in the fridge


Make small balls with the dough and using your thumb or a teaspoon make a well in the center and fill a tsp of strawberry jam

Bake at 180 C for 15 to 18 minutes
