Garlic fingers

The aroma of garlic which wafted through my house while these babies were in the oven, was just amaaaaazinggg!!!!!

I recommend that you make these for a snack or even to accompany a meal.

For the dough

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tbsp instant yeast

1/2 tsp sugar

1 tbsp olive oil

3/4 cup warm water

For the topping

2 tbsp garlic butter

pinch of salt

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

a small bunch of chopped coriander

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, yeast and sugar. Drizzle over the olive oil and give it a quick mix

Make a well in the center and slowly pour the warm water in and start pulling the flour into the water until all the flour has been incorporated

Take the dough out of the bowl and place on a clean surface. Start kneading it until it is elastic and springs back ( 5 to 7 min)

Cover with a damp cloth and allow it to rise ( around 2 hours )

Preheat the oven to 180C

Divide the dough into 2 halves. With one half, make a rough disk by pressing down with your hands.

Apply the toppings ie. the garlic butter, mozzarella and chopped coriander and bake for 8 to 10min
