Eggless Savoury Bread Pudding

This pudding is incredibly easy to put together. Serve it hot and it will soon become a family favourite.

Make sure you use a day old bread, a fresh load may cause it to be too squishy

6 to 7 bread slices, cut into cubes

1/2 cup grated cheese ( or more, if you like it cheesy)

1 tbsp oil

1 sliced onion

1 chopped tomato

! chopped red/yellow pepper

1 chopped green chili

A handful of coriander

Salt to taste

2 cups milk

2 tbsp corn flour

Preheat the oven to 180C

Mix the corn flour along with the milk and set aside

Cube bread slices and add to a baking dish. Add half the grated cheese to this and the coriander

In a pan, saute the onion, tomato, peppers and chili until the mixture is dry. Add it to the bread and mix well

Pour the milk over this and set it aside for 5 to 10 minutes so that the bread soaks up the milk.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes
