Banana Bread Granola

Granola is a healthier option to cereal or cornflakes

I always seem to have over ripe bananas at home, and wanted to use them up in a different way this time around.

Hence the idea for a banana bread granola! And also, if you're like me and not too fond of coconut oil, this banana mix is a great replacement for the oil which would otherwise be added to granola

It's healthy, super simple to do, takes just 2 minutes and one bowl to prep

Check it out!

Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup mixed dried fruit and nuts of your choice

3 mashed bananas

2 tbsp honey

2 tbsp peanut butter or any nut butter

1 tbsp brown sugar

Method

-Preheat the oven to 180 C

-Mash the bananas in a large bowl

-To this, add the honey and peanut butter and give it a good mix until incorporated

-Add the oats and mixed fruit and nuts and mix it all together

* it will be a loose mixture

-Put this mix into a greased baking dish and bake at 180 C for around 20 to 25 minutes

-Once ready, the granola will be clumped together. Break it up and store in an airtight container
