BAKED Red Velvet Donuts

Baked Red velvet donuts

These donuts have a perfectly moist crumb, that great red velvet taste and they are baked, not fried!! Enjoy them at Christmas time or any day of the week!


I cup milk

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/4 cup almond flour

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

3 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder

2 tbsp beetroot powder OR 1 tsp red food color


Preheat the oven to 180 C

In a bowl, add the apple cider vinegar to the milk. Stir

To this, add the sugar and vanilla extract and whisk well until it is foamy and frothy

(If using food color, add it in now)

Add all the dry ingredients into another bowl and mix well until incorporated

Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until you get a thick batter

Grease your donut moulds and pour a little batter into each one

Bake at 180 C for 12 to 15 minutes
